Hello Mary,
Thanks so much for this information and anything else you would care to share is more than welcomed !!! Of course, I do have many questions. Concerning this Mrs. Frank Torrance, when was her info given to the Sparta Library ?
Does she have an e-mail address or was her info given before computers ?

Still haven't found William B. Hutchison / Hutcheson/ Hutchinson and wife Sarah in any 1850 census yet. Perhaps as my cousin and a "gene" friend had stated, they may have been "in between" moves at that time, missing the census taker.

Was hoping to find some connection of these Taggart / Tackett in Hancock County,IL (possibly via the Mississippi River). The Hancock County Historical Society doesn't seem to possess any references to my line other than the 1860 St. Albans Twsp census.

I have census references (from their children) that William B. and Sarah Jane Hutchison were of Irish descent.
By any chance would the surname Burton come to mind ?

Old Augusta Cemetery(Augusta,Hancock,IL) is where William B. Hutchison's wife Sarah Jane(who died 1903)is buried. The cemetery record book has notations from the old (now deceased) record keeper, Ruth VanHorn, who noted that my G-Grandmother Margaret L. Hutchison Chapman is buried next to her mother, my GG-Grandmother Sarah Jane Hutchison, and next to Sarah is her mother, but no name was given to this lady nor does she have a headstone. There is a Henry Green who is buried next to my GGG-Grandmother with notataion (in the record book) that this Green was to have been part of Sarah's mother's line but, no further explanation was noted ! As my bad luck would have it, I have no clue wehre William B. Hutchison is buried, only a slight time line of his death around 1870....Grrrr!!!!

Thanks for listening and helping.
HAPPY EASTER !
Karen
