According to the genealogy list by Mrs.Frank Torrance which I saw at the Sparta Public Library (and copied some pages) Sarah is the daughter of John Taggart and Jane Anderson. The marriage date is 4-4-1840 (actually there is a typo and it says 1940!). Sarah Taggart married William Hutcheson on this date, several days earlier on 3-31-1840 her sister Eleanor married Leonard Crisler. No idea why you found her as 'Mrs.'. There are some errors in these records, but this looks OK to me, Mrs. Torrance did genealogy sheets on many early families, her records are a treasure trove!
John was born 1788 in Ireland according to census records, he is the son of John Taggart, who is in the SC census of 1790, and Elenor Gibson. Someone told me Elenor's last name was Gibson, but then someone else thought it was Wallis, I have no certain source, but a Robert Gibson was a witness when Elenor relinquished her claim to administer her husband's estate to her son David and her brother-in-law Moses. You can pull up the info on these people with the genforum box, I'd be happy to answer any questions IF I know the answer. There is a lot that is unknowable.
