Taggarts in IL, ca 1830

I have a Rebecca Taggart, born about 1806 in Abbeville Dist, SC, who married John Lacy and bore him five children before moving to Randolph County, IL some time around 1830. They settled on a farm eight miles east of Kaskaskia, "along the old Shawneetown Trail." John died soon afterward, and Rebecca married the widower William Adair, another South Carolinian who arrived in Randolph County about 1825 -- he was elected to a county office in 1826 and served in the Illinois Militia during the Black Hawk war.
I'd be very interested in knowing if and how Rebecca is related to your Taggarts.
