Hi Maurice,

I'm finding it difficult to get back to you on this Tagg question, but can tell you there are several references to Taggs, including the twins Harry and Thomas, in 'The Thames of Henry Taunt'. Taunt was a Victorian photographer. I have the book in reprint but you may find it via, say, Amazon. I also have, somewhere, lists of Tagg boatbuilders, with information on their apprenticeships, and will do my best to dig them out.

The twins' parents were Tomas Tagg and Harriett Rose, so the Thomas twin may have been father's favourite.

Regards,

Peter Jeal
