We seem to have some common ancestors in the Taft line. My GGG grandmother, Molly (Mary) Taft, daughter of Mijamin Taft and Sarah Sweeting, married Joseph Richardson Nov 1, 1784 in Uxbridge, Ma. Molly and Joseph's son, Simon, married Martha Taft, daughter of Jesse Taft and Margaret Mowry, on July 10, 1791 in Smithfield, RI. Jesse was the son of Nathan Taft and Ruth Cruff and of course Nathan was the son of Mijamin and Sarah and the sister of Molly. Thus Simon married his first cousin.
I would be interested in your Pres William Taft connection.
