RIVERTON - Kenneth E. Taft, 75, of Riverton and Springfield died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy. He was born Jan. 10, 1931, in Rochester, the son of John W. and Anna Beard Taft. Mr. Taft was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a corporal during the Korean War. He was a farmer. He attended Calvary Temple Christian Center. He was a member of the Illinois Draft Horse and Mule Association and Clydesdale Breeders of the United States. Survivors: daughter, Marcia Dawn (husband, Richard) Harbour of Springfield; two sons, Mark Gregory (wife, Barb) Taft of Streator and K. Michael (wife, Tracy) Taft of Springfield; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother Charles W. (wife, Dorothy) Taft of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Wilson Park Funeral Home, Rochester, the Rev. Paul Rose officiating. Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery. Notify Administrator about this message?
