Hi Dent

The Taffs I have names for are as follows:

Thomas Taffs (Married Ann Baxter)
they had 2 sons Joseph Taffs and William Taffs.

Joseph Married Elizabeth Banbridge, who died in 1908. He was a shoemaker and
I think was also a lay preacher at one of the nonconformist churches in
Rothwell, Northamptonshire.

Joseph and Elizabeth had 3 daughters, Anne (1883), Rowena and Mary Ann.

Anne Married Charles Shortland (1878 - 1935) of Rothwell. They moved to
Higham Ferrers, Northants and had 5 children, Norman, Aubrey, Irene (my
grandmother) gladys and Sylvia.

I think Rowena never married. Mary Ann married George Eaton and had 3
children.

William Taffs (b 1842) emigrated to Australia from where I was contacted
last year. It appears he married Faith Clegg (b1853, Halifax, Yorkshire).
They Married in 1872, in Victoria and had 5 children.

This is currently all I know about my Taffs line. I aim to pay attention to
this branch of my family this year, so any useful information will be
gratefully received.

Bill Franklin
