I recently went to Boston Archives and found my grandfathers family and more. I found William Taffe and Mary Hafford had 11 children found Annie, Kate, Patrick b. 1861, Mary G. b. 1863, Richard b. 1872, Theresa M. b, 1874, Agnes b. 1876, twins Charlotte and George b. 1879 Joseph Stephen b. 1881(my grandfather) and Alice b. 1884. Death cert on William Taffe said he was born in Ireland in 1836 and his parents were Patrick Taffe and Mary ?. I also found that William had a brother John who died in 1891 in Somerville and a sister Rose who died in 1976. William's wife Mary Hafford per her death cert was born in Ireland and died in 1893 in Somerville Ma. Her parents were listed as William Hafford and Catherine Malloney both of Ireland. Anyone out there Know anything about this Family? I found in the archives that each child had their last name spelled every way possible. But the parents were the same and the two addresses used were the same. William went from labor. to glass packer to glass blower from his 1st child to his last.
