Hello Shera.... Yes, your Joseph H. Tade who married Mary Jane Carson is the son of my James Tade and Catherine Hines. Here is the info I have... Brothers in Wythe Co. Virginia 1.Joseph Tade, b.3-18-1791 KY d. 11-18-1882.Il. m. Eva Cook, b. est. 1800 m...Dec. 22, 1818, Wythe Co. Virginia (They had 6 childeren, names unknown) 2.James Tade, b.3-18-1813 Ky. d. 1839 New Orleans. M. Catherine Hines, b. 11-28-1812, Virginia d. 12-29-1906, Robinson Co. Illinois m. 9-20-1832, Wythe Co. Virginie Children... 1. Mary Ann (Polly) Tade, b. 1834 2. Nancy J. Tade b. 1838 3. Joseph H. Tade, b. 1834 4. James H. Tade, b. 1840 Mary Ann married James (Jack) Thomas Seymour Nancy J. married Benjamin Franklin Anderson Joseph H. married Mary Jane Carson James H. married Sarah Jane Bruce (It is unsure which brother had the march 18th birthdate, I have conflicting information on this. ) After James Tade (1813) died in 1839, his widow married James's brother Joseph (1791). (What became of Eva Cook and their 6 children, unknown) Joseph Tade and Catherine Hines Tade married March 1841 in Montgomery Co, Kentucky. They had 6 children, George, Emma, Ellen, Alexander,Samual and Martha. (I have more info if you want it.) Now through Tade Name gathering I've come up with a theory...I'd like other Tade researchers the think about as well.... There are 5 other Tades who were Married in Wythe Co. Virginia within the same time zone that our brothers Joseph/Eva and James/Catherine were married. They could be siblings or cousins, they are.... 1. Peggy Tade, b. est. 1794-1800, m. George Chandler in Wythe Co. Dec. 7, 1815 (I have no other info on them at this time) 2. Sally Tade, b.est 1794-1800, m. Rutherford Arnold, in Wythe Co., Feb. 9th, 1821...I have 3 of their children...Asa, Lorenzo & Henry Clay 3.Martin Tade, b.est. 1800-1810, m. Mary Knipe,b. 4-23-1807..m. Sept. 16, 1827, in Wythe Co. I have 5 of their children...Jane, John, Elizabeth, Mary and Thomas. 4. Nancy Tade, b. est 1810-1816,m. John Barry Hurt on Sept 19, 1833 in Wythe. I also have a John Tade on the 1820 Wythe Co Census with 1 wife, 3 boys and 3 girls...all fit within the birth times that I have down. Now...granted this is just a theory and one I'm researching further. I'd like to know what other Tade researchers think. Notify Administrator about this message?
