I am a rather extensive Tackaberry researcher.
In my records I have an Almeda Christina Tackabury b. 5 Feb. 1915/d. 1957.She is buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Onieda, New York State. Her father was George Wesley Tackabury/I show her mother as Hazel Marris.I would be most interested in your documentation showing Almeda Christina's mother as Jenny.George Weseley's sister was Almeda C. Tackabury.Their parents were Frank John Tackabury & Christina C. Chrisman.Their parents were Middleton Tackaberry & Clarissa Clark (note the differences in the spelling of the surnames). They had a daughter, Almeda Clarissa Tackaberry, b. 2 Feb. 1834/d. 4 Sept. 1918.Therefore, your Almeda Cristina would be the grandneice of Almeda Clarissa who, by the way, is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hudson, Lenawee County, Michigan. So, I reckon the name Almeda was a family name of Clarissa Clark's.Please find following some notes I have on Almeda Clarissa:
Her marriage was announced in the Democratic Reflector on 31 July 1854.The service was performed by Rev. J. Applegate. The groom, James M. Scarrett, was shown as being from Buffalo, New York and she was shown as being from Eaton, New York.
They were married at the Sherburne Hotel.
Her husband started in the newspaper business in Madison & Chenango Counties, New York.In March, 1872 they moved to Hudson, Michigan as he became the editor of the Hudson Post.
She and her husband are reviewed in the Portrait and Biographical Album of Lenawee County, MichiganChapman Bros. 1888, Page 701.
She died of Apoplexus.
