Hello, if you have read about history, and each country teaches their own history; however the US and Canada were built on convicts. When the US was getting started Europe sent the majority of thier convicts to our land, and therefore, with my first name being Tacey, being born with that name from my Mother's best friends last name, TACEY, who was French/Canadian. I suggest you start looking in Canada for your other family. Not in Europe. My Mother's Best friend's name was William Tacey, and when he got his citizenship in the US, changed his name to Bill Vancourt for political reasons. What politcal reasons, I do NOT know, I was not born at that time. His Mother, Mrs. Tacey always remaind a citizen in Canada.
