Hi Michael,
My Wilburn ancestors lived next to your Tabor ancestors in Carter Co KY. I'm sure at all certain how closely related they were. But that they shared a few common ancestor lines is a positive. Just recently, I spotted a very early Tabor emigrant in Va. I hope that I copied down the notes or recall the website. Sometime during the early 1600's.
Some years back I studied the 1850 Carter Co Ky census book, along with nine other eastern KY Counties. I never studied for an exams like I did this collection of families. Whew! But I'm glad that I did because now that I'm retired I have time to doing all the research I want as long as these old eyes can handle it.
At any event, I always enjoy chats with others who have ancestors in Carter Co KY, One way or another we are all related.
