Not sure if there is any relation but my great grandfather was Francis Taaffe who was born in 1848 Dunleer County Louth Ireland. Father was James Taaffe. Not sure when Francis came to Australia but he married in 1875 in Melbourne.
Is there any connection to your family. My grandfather changed the name to Taaff.
