Monica

I am also looking at an Abraham/Abram Sypher born PA. However his wife was Elizabeth Kerchner, born PA. found in 1870 in Iowa, Washington Co, 1880 did not find, 1885 Iowa state census same county. 1870, sons James, Pa,age 16; Charles, PA age 15, George Pa age 12, daughter Mary A. b. PA age 8, son William b Pa, age 6 and two children both born in Iowa, Calvin W. and Hattie M. Calvin age 4, Hattie 1.

1885 state census finds James and George not in the home but additional children Lynn M and Nellie S. Lynn age 13, Nellie 11.

Followed to 1900, York Co, Ne finds E (Elizabeth) age 69 a widow and in the home George 40, and Calvin 28.

George Kerchner Sypher buried Lushton cemetery, York Co, Ne. b. May 28, 1858 died Nov 18, 1917. Followed Calvin and Lynn to 1930. Same Cemetery as an Abraham Sypher is buried.

My connection is through Abraham's wife Elizabeth, who was my great grandmother's sister. Have photo of both women taken late 1800's in Fairmont, Ne. Am trying to find where Elizabeth died. Should have gone to York when I was home last month, but just picked this up again. Also their son Calvin married Ina Wood, sister to my grandfather's sister-in-law, Ollie Wood. They married in Crete, Saline County. If you know Neb then you know that Crete, Fairmont and York are not that far from each other.

Wellfleet cemetery is in Wellfleet in Lincoln co, (North Platte largest city in county) and it is farther to the west. Trying to connect the pieces. My family line does not include a Mary Provo however. Any help to you or me by exchanging information would be appreciated.

Thanks, Peggy Kieffer
