I have a Grace Baker Blackmore in my tree who married a William Symons at Fremington (just outside Barnstaple) on 22 May 1852. According to the 1851 census, William was a Mason, born in Fremington about 1830. His parents were John and Ann and he had siblings Richard (b 1823), Henry (b 1838), Elizabeth (b 1840), Ann (b 1844), Eliza (b 1846), Sarah (b 1849) and James (b 1832). The father and all adult sons were masons. They were living in Bickington (between Fremington and Barnstaple)
