Thank you for responding - I live in Georgia and am interested in learning more of the Symonette line... Catherine was my great-grandmother on my father's side. I believe her father was Timothy Symonette (he married Sarah Sands - I think). So yes - I'm family and doing genealogy research.

I've had an extremely difficult time finding any information on my Bahamas ancestors.

I'm not sure which island the Symonettes came from. I do know the Cates line came from Eleuthera (Rock Sound).

Not only are the Symonettes hard to research - so is my Pinder line!

Do you know of any reference material available? Any help you can offer would be super!
