Evidently, James Monroe Sykes/Sikes was born 1861 , in Talladega Co., Ala. They were in the 1870 Census Clay Co., Ala. James married: Priscilla Hobbs b. 1866 information from the Heritage Book of Clay Co., Ala.
AND they moved to Texas.
Priscila is last daughter of Wm. Horton "Billy" Hobbs, and his 3rd wife Elizabeth Reed McColloough.
Did they have any children, where did they settle in Texas.
Priscilla has a "half sister" (not sure she is a sister, could be cousin: Nancy B. Rebecca Hobbs. b. 1851, married Isaac Newton Walls who also moved to Texas.
I am guessing they may have traveled to Texas together, or ended up in the same county. Again, the Heritage Book of Clay Co., Ala. provided this information.
NEED more information.
