born December 21, 1845 registered in St Peters, Marlborough, Wiltshire (entry number 404) His father was also a Charles but had died before he was born. His mother was Sarah, formerly Howitt and this is where his middle name of Howitt came from. His father's occupation is registered as 'tobacconist' though from the grave that would be difficult...
If you find anything about the Charles who died I would be grateful.
