I'm looking for any information regarding John Swope (Schwab, Schwope), born c.1808, his wife Catherine, born c.1815, and their children, William Henry, George W., Caroline, and Charles H. The parents were both born in or near Wurttemberg, Germany, but their children were born in New Jersey.
John's brother, Henry Swope or Schwab (born c.1813), lived initially in Philadelphia, where he married Susan and had two daughters, Emma and Adelia. He and his family later moved to Camden as well.
A third Swope, Ignatius, may have been a brother of John and Henry. Ignatius was married to Anna Maria, and they had nine children: Joseph, William, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, John, Mary, Christian Edward, Andrew, and George.
