Huntingdon Daily News, Thursday, May 29, 1941 Page 9 LEO SWOPE Leo Swope, of Wood, Pa., died in the Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, Pa., Wednesday, May 28, 1941, of pneumonia, aged 45 years and 16 days. He was a son of Isaac B. and Hailey B. (White) Swope and was born in Broad Top township, Bedford county May 12, 1896. He was united in marriage with Bertha M. Swope of Six Mile Run on June 16, 1917, in Cumberland, Md. He was a member of the U. M. W. A. and the Church of God at Broad Top. Surviving are his father, of Six Mile Run R. D., his wife, of Wood and these children; Mrs. George Figard, Wood; Blanche Phyllis and Willis Swope, all at home; also by two stepsons, Ralphard Black of Wood and Ellsworth Black of Homer City, Pa.; also by five brothers and three sisters; Clarence, Oliver, Alvie and Roy Swope, all of Cleveland, Ohio and Isaac Swope of Martinsburg, R. D., Mrs. Lewis Rhodebaugh, of Greensburg, Pa., Mrs. Mort Neviel of Robertsdale and Pearl Swope, of Columbus, Ohio. The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Methodist church at Wood, the Rev. Coy Foor officiating. Interment in Broad Top cemetery will be in charge of Huff's funeral service. Notify Administrator about this message?
