My apologies for not getting back sooner.
As for pictures, I have some from a Sedalia cousin that I met at a Swope reunion over a decade ago. Since then, she has moved around to various spots in Pettis County and I don't know if she still has the same phone number or not. There are some pictures I can send via e-mail, but my hotmail account doesn't seem to like picture attachments.
I doubt that Hiram and Minnie Pearl would have taken care of Emma Susan as Emma Susan is older than that particular Hiram. It is possible that Hiram and Elizabeth (Greer) Swope took care of Emma Susan. They would have been alive at the time of Mary E. Alexander Swope's death.
Sounds like you're about 200 miles west of me. I come to Sedalia each year for the Swope Reunion. Always enjoy each visit to the town.
