I have lost a lot of my Swope Family notes that were on my computer. Now have some basic info but nothing to tell me where I got it or to know what is proven and what I picked up elsewhere and haven't proven as yet. I know John Brevette Swope was a son of Benedict Swope a minister and land speculator who came to what is now Garrard Co., KY near Lancaster and that John B. married my Frances (Fannie) Roerty and they lived near Bryantsville and were very active in the church there. They had I believe 10 children. I know I got that from someone else and had only proven four of them with records that are now lost. The children I have listed are Benedict b 1822, Daniel b. 1825, James b. 1824, Samuel b. 1826, Mary Jane b. 1828, Joseph b. 1830, Jessie Keener b. 1832, Zerelda b. 1834, John b. 1837, Sallie b. 1839 who died young. I have a few marriages for these and a few tentative death dates. Daniel m. Matilda WATERS, Samuel m. Elizabeth BRIGHT and they went to MO. Mary Jane m. Thomad FLOYD and they were in Boyle Co., KY, Joseph m. Mary DUNN, Zerelda m. Abraham BARKER. Can anyone help me fill in more of the descendants of these families? Or if I have incorrect info can you help me correct it. This is only one of my Roerty lines but it is the one I have the least amount of info on at this time.
