Wickline men's DNA testing project to find European Wicklines

Our 5th-6th great grandfather Johann Georg Wickline from Germany or Switzerland settled after October 1736 in Montgomery and later Berks County, Pennsylvania. His American descendants have initiated a WICKLINE men's DNA testing project at FTDNA in Houston, Texas to find his European cousins.

If you are a German or Swiss WICKLINE/WICKLEIN man, we would certanly like to visit with you about enrolling in our WICKLINE DNA testing project. This is a simple 60 second buccal swab test that permits us to identify 25 NRY DNA markers from the male Y chromosome.

This project is open for enrollment by all WICKLINE men from around the world. To be eligible, any WICKLINE male who can trace their ancestry back to a great grandfather WICKLINE/WICKLEIN ancestor is welcome to participate in our project.

We have three goals..
(1.) To find unknown WICKLINE kin by comparing and matching DNA NRY markers found on the WICKLINE male Y chromosome..
(2.) To validate and verify WICKLINE lineages by matching men from each WICKLINE branch to known WICKLINE
descendants who have their lineages documented back to Europe.
(3.) To find our ancetral WICKLINE home in Europe by matching European WICKLINE DNA to American WICKLINES DNA.

If you are a genealogist and are interested in this WICKLINE DNA testing, please contact us.

Bill Bailey, Jane Volckmann
