The name of this farm is difficult to interpret in the Schangnau records, as you may already know. The last part of the name seems certain to be "berg". It seems almost certain that there is a "z" just before the "berg". The first letter of the name of the hof, while looking like an "S", could be something else. I went through my topo maps and the addresses for Marbach, LU at Karte Schweiz and they have only two "...bergs" in present day vernacular. "Binzberg" seems to be the best fit for this Schangnau hof entry. It would be nice to verify it through another entry of the hof's name in the Schangnau records. For example, if Samuel's children were born at this hof, they might be listed later in the Schangnau records and we could again see how this name is written. Since the heimat is Langnau, those records might help also, but I do not have copies of those. If you have other known entries in the Schangnau records that might mention this hof, let me know and I will give it a look. Good Luck.
