I am the great grandaughter of Johann (John) and Rosine (Rose) Schweitzer, who immigrated to the U.S. in May of 1884 on the Normandie. I have some pictures of the Schweitzer family home in Vechigen (built in 1576)and am trying to find any of my relatives who may still be living in the area. When they came to America, Johann was 45 years old and Rosine was 43. They had several children, among them Frederick, Anna, Gottlieb, Adolphe (my grandfather), Charles, Gottfried, Emma, etc. I am planning a trip through Bern in June and would love to meet any relatives.... Is there anyone who has any information? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
