RUTT FAMILY FROM SWITZERLAND

This info is according to the Rutt Genealogy, started by Minnie Rutt in 1890 and typed for publication in 1957 by my grandmother (Edith Rutt Myers), and on file at the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Library in Lancaster, PA.
Reportedly, Martin Ruth (Rutt)was a Bishop of the Mennonite Church, born in 1717 in the German Paletinate. He emigrated from Switzerland to the US on the good ship "St. Andrew", arriving in Philadelphia on Oct.7, 1743.He settled in or near Lancaster Co., PA.This information was reportedly found by Minnie Rutt around 1890 in a Rutt Family Bible, giving the data on the first 3 generations in America, as well as from records and gravestones in the Elizabethtown, PA area. This record adds a generation between Martin Rutt and the Jacob Rutt who married Veronica Martin:
Children of Martin Rutt (b. 1717)
Jacob Rutt (b. June 14, 1760)
Peter Rutt(b. March 13, 1767
Heinrich (Henry)Rutt (b. Nov. 12, 1717)
Children of Jacob Rutt (b. June 14, 1760)
Christian Rutt (b. Sept. 28, 1789)
Magdalena Rutt (b. 1792)
Jacob Rutt (married Veronica Martin in Donegal Township, Lancaster, PA)
______ Rutt-female (married to ______ Ebersole-male. Children Sara, John, Joseph, Samuel, and Jeannie)
______ Rutt -female ( married to ____ Wisler - male Children Nancy, ?, and Samuel
I have more details, but will stop for now.I am working my way back verifying all this information in Censuses and documents, but have not verified any of this, since it is not my direct lineage (my bracnh is Heinrich Rutt).I also had a footnote to investigate if there was a Barbara as part of this family (Jacob and Veronica Rutt's children), which you indicate there is.Hopefully this will give you more leads and information to investigate!
