MILLERS--SWITZERLAND/FRANCE/FL/GA/LA
Looking for parents and siblings of:JOSEPH b. abt. 1826 in Switzerland and AURELIA b. 1828 in Switzerland Both are on the 1850 Monticello, Jefferson Co. FL. Census.
An obituary for Aurelia states she was born in 1828, a native of Switzerland, and died 1898 in Columbus, Muscogee Co. Ga. She moved from Monticello, FL in 1852.I have found her on the Muscogee Co. Census 1860 Joseph F. Miller, a shoemaker, age 35;a. H. Busby, age 11, and a Joseph F. Miller, age Age 4.I know that the J. H. Busby in the household was the eldest son of Mary Anna Miller and John H. Busby listed below.Apparently he went to live with his aunt an uncle after his father, the senior J. H. Busby died in LA in 1854.
MARY ANNA was born in 1824 and was native of Switzerland. She marriedJOHN HAMILTON BUSBY somewhere between VA or W. V VA, and FL. Mary Anna and J. H. Busby were on the 1850 St. Tammany Parish, LA Census with a child. J. H. Busby 4 yrs. old born in FL.
Also have a funeral memorial for a MARY ANNA MILLOR. a native of France who died April 12, 1848 at the age of 57 + years. I believe that She is the mother of Joseph and the younger Mary Anna Miller Busby. I am assuming that Aurelia is the wife of Joseph F. Miller.
So far have been unable to locate these Millers on any of the Ships Passenger Lists, or Naturalization Records, nor determine a migration pattern.
Can anyone help me?. Edwina
