Frederick Secrist
Born. Frederick Co, VA 1754
Died. Hampshire Co, VA 1834
buried, Hebron Lutheran Church, Intermont, Hampshire Co, VA

April 11, 1801 Frederick lived by and purchased land from Valentine Switzer in Hampshire Co. VA and I believe this was Catherine's father.

In 1774 was a private in Dunmore's War against the Indians under Captain Peter Helphinstone.
In 1775 at the start of the Revolutionary war Frederick was still a member of Captain Peter Helphinstone Infantry Co of the Berkely District battalion of the Minute Service which was disbanded in early 1776 with most joining the Continental Army.
There is no record of Frederick serving in the Continental Army, although in 1779 he was commissioned to provide supplies to the Army.
