I was feeling sentimental - just "googling" my father's name and came across this forum. My grandfather was John Switzer (one of Lorenzo's sons)and my dad, MacLean (known as Mac or Lane) was the youngest of his children to survive to adulthood (his brother Renee was named after Lorenzo). When I was very young (I am now in my 50s) I visited the family farm and graves located on the property at Echo Lake with my grandmother (Martha Veeley). At that time it was abandonned and in pretty rough condition but it was great to have the chance to see it & hear her memories of being brought back there as a young bride of 14 (first child at age 15). I do know some history of this branch of the family tree and my grandmother passed along hand-written stories about her life. I realize it has been a while since the last postings here but nice to make this connection and would love to connect for more. The history of Echo Lake families sounds like a good undertaking.
