Does anyone who has posted in regard to this family have actual evidence that the French version of the name Swinyer was Chouinard rather than Choiniere dit Sabourin?

There was a Laurent Choiniere dit Sabourin (Michel and Marie-Louise Vigeant dit Taupier) baptized in 1799 at Point-Oliver (St-Mathias-sur-Richelieu). His mother had numerous relatives known to have settled in the Lake Champlain region.
