Richard, my ggrandmother was Bridget Swift, nee Lowther. She was from Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland. She told me about the name Foody. There is some confusion as to when she came to America 1870, but before 1880. Her husband John Swift was a cousin to the Swift Bros. (of meat packing fame)
She died in 1942.

Neal
