For those interested in the William Swift and Joan ___ line in Sandwich,
I recently caught wind that there may be another source of information
"out there" besides G.H. Swift's 1900 book and Eben Swift's slight revision
in 1924. If any of you have seen this, please give us your impressions.

An email correspondent said that the Sandwich Archives & Historical Center,
145 Main St., Sandwich, MA 02563 replied to a letter from his aunt in 1985,
with the following:
"This is a Xerox copy of the Swift Genealogy prepared in draft form by Raymond
Dodge of Barnstable, Mass. before his death....His references to 'Eben Swift"
are to the booklet of Swift genealogy published in 1924 by the Library of Cape
Cod..."

It seems that Raymond Dodge started checking GHS, found a lot of errors, and
decided to track down the primary sources for it and write a revised version.
I just sent a letter off to the SAHC; I'll let you know if I hear/learn
anything in a few weeks.
-Ted
