I am trying to find information on another Sweeten that may or may not be related to Nancy and/or Dutton...

Here's what I have so far:

Rhoda Sweeten married Jesse Chapman on 10 Jun 1823 in Perry County, AL. (I believe Rhoda to be somehow related to Sarah (or Sally) Sweeten who married a Stephen Williamson in Perry County also on 21 Nov 1822.)

After the marriage, I cannot find any information on Rhoda or Jesse Chapman except for some census records which indicate that a Rhody Chapman listed in the 1840 census in Hardeman County, TN apparently widowed. She is also listed only one household away from a Dutton Sweeten who could very possibly be her father. In the 1850 census, there is a Rody Chapman living with her son, James who I believe to be the older brother of my ancestor, Eli Chapman. Both have a mother born in AL which Rhoda was, and a father born in TN. Both also live within close proximity of each other in the 1850-1880 census. James Chapman married Mary Bieber (or Biebers) while Eli Chapman married Equilla Bieber (or Biebers).

If anyone can shed any light on who exactly Rhoda Sweeten was and what family line she's from, I would greatly appreciate it!! I really seem to have hit a brick wall.

Thank you in advance.

Deb
