I'm happy to find this forum since I'm sure that Swedenburg is another of the many spellings of my Swittenberg family. I requested a Swittenberg forum a number of months ago, but so far my two postings are the only ones on it. I wish some of you would go to it and post something so I wouldn't feel bad for having requested it!

My great-grandmother was Susannah Jane Swittenberg, born in South Carolina in 1843, moved to Smith County, Mississippi, married Marshall Wilborn Maynor in 1859, died in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1927. Susannah's father was William Swittenberg, born in South Carolina in 1808, died in Mississippi in 1886.

What I know so far about my Swittenbergs is here: http://www.maynor.net/Genealogy/swittenberg.html
