Eric Longdahl - Soldier in Kila, Värmland

I am trying to find information about Eric Longdahl, a soldier (sargeant) who lived at Klunserud in Kila, Värmland, Sweden, for a short time in the early 1750's. His wife is Catharina, and they had 2 children born in Kila - Magdalena in 1752 and Anders in 1753. Anders later moved to Flatebyn in Kila and was a soldier there. I can't seem to find any information as to where Eric Longdahl came from before he was in Kila. I searched death records and there is no indications that he or his wife died in Kila, so I assume they moved to another parish. Where can I search to find more information? Thanks for any suggestions!
