Martin,
Thank you for the information that both you and Bo Johansson have sent me on this posting I just sent. Here are the years of the births of the other children:
1785, 1788, 1791, 1793, 1796, 1803
I believe from the information you both sent me that her husband Nicklas Nilsson Skragge died before the birth of the last child.
Is there any place I could check to find his death information?
Also, if Charlotta "Lotta" remarried would I check under her married name of Skragge or her maiden name?
My Aunt had someone find birth information on Charlotta's son Niclas Schragge and his wife Christina Wessman. I believe it was all in the Maria Magdalena Parish records.
Was it common for a Family Representative to be there at the time of birth? What was the purpose? Of course, they also list the midwife and the Minister.....The name Christina Charlotta Ek is listed at several of the births and I'm wondering if this could be Niclas' mother - having remarried?
I sure do appreciate all the wonderful help I receive on this "Sweden" message forum page! I hope everyone realizes how grateful I am - to be able to find out about my family is so marvelous!
Susan Richards
