The name BLOMGREN

I wonder if someone can tell me about the name Blomgren. It doesn't seem to fit the normal patronymic naming usually found in Sweden. My Blomgren family originates in Hammerdal, Jamtland where my great grandfather Nils Blomgren was born 15 November 1861. I know nothing about his family in Sweden. He left Sweden for the United States about 1890, followed by his wife Sara and two young children (Olof and Maria) in 1891. Just before they left they were living in Borgsjo. I have been helped greatly by Judy Baouab who reminded me to paste this link when I asked for help:

I would be grateful for any information about the name BLOMGREN and also anything about Nils family in Hammerdal.
