She was Anna Kajsa Jansdotter in Sweden. And her mother wasn't "Mia".
All the children were born in By parish, Värmland county. The registers are kept by parish, not by farm or village.
Säffle was part of By parish until 1911, so Säffle is completely uninteresting for people born in the 19th century.
Just like the American censuses, the Swedish censuses do not give exact dates of birth.
From Census 1880:
Father: Nilsson, Jan b. 1834 in By parish, Värmland county - farm owner
Mother: Olsdotter, Maria Kajsa b. 1837 in Bro parish, Värmland county
Child: Anders b. 1860 in By parish, Värmland county
Child: Stina Maria b. 1864 in By parish, Värmland county
Child: Olof Peter b. 1866 in By parish, Värmland county
Child: Elisabeth b. 1870 in By parish, Värmland county
Child: Johan b. 1872 in By parish, Värmland county
Child: Anna Kajsa b. 1876 in By parish, Värmland county
The family lived at (the village of) Kråkerud, By parish, Värmland county
Eldest son Nils Gustaf may already have left home; he was after all 21 years old.
Census 1890:
Father: Nilsson, Jan b. 1834 in By parish, Värmland county - "förpantningsägare", i.e. he owned pledged land, he was a moneylender
Mother: Olsdotter, Maja Kajsa b. 1837 in Bro parish, Värmland county
Child: Johan b. 1872 in By parish, Värmland county
Child: Anna Kajsa b. 1876 in By parish, Värmland county
The family lived at (the village of) Öcken, By parish, Värmland county.
Census 1900:
Mother: Olsdotter, Maja Kajsa b. 1837 in Bro parish, Värmland county
Child: Johan b. 1872 in By parish, Värmland county
The (now much depleted) family lived at (the village of) Öcken, By parish, Värmland county.
Maja is a pet name for Maria. Kajsa is a pet name for Katarina (Catherine). Stina is a pet name for Kristina.
"Olaf" is a Norwegian name; the Swedish version is "Olof".
If you wish to do genealogy in Sweden, learn the three extra "Swedish" letters - åÅ äÄ öÖ - they are NOT the equivalent of a or o:
kar - tub
kår - corps
kär - dear
kor - cows
kör - choir
Trying to look up e.g. "Ocken" will lead you nowhere; the name is "Öcken".
From the Death Index 1901-2009:
--------------
Jansson, Johan
Born 14 Mar 1872 in By parish, Värmland county.
Died 09 Sep 1939 in By parish, Värmland county.
Unmarried man.
--------------
Unfortunately, no hits for the rest of the children. This may be due to the fact that the Death Index isn't complete yet.
