My 5 times great grandfather, Dr. Henry Smith was physician to the Czarina's court in St. Petersburg, Russia from 1731 to 1751 when he returned to England.
His wife was apparently the above-named lady who according to my family records was from Sweden.
Does anyone know Maria/Catherine and her ancestors?
