Is your Charles A. Ristrim the one found in the 1880 U.S. census (FamilySearch) at Marion, Iowa along with wife Huldah (born about 1858 in Illinois) and sons Frank (b. about 1875) and Fred (b. about 1877)? And did Charles also have a son named Clifford born in 1880? If so, then the Carl Augustin Rydström entries I found on Disbyt is probably your family. Let me know and I can provide more information.

I am not related.

Jeff
