I'm looking for some relatives who emigrated from Sweden to Moline, Illinois in the early 1900s, perhaps you or someone you know can help me in any way, or maybe give me tips on where I can go to get some help?
Carl Ossian & Albertina Anderson, they had two daughters named Linnea and Margit, and even grandchildren, in which I belive one of the grandchildren to have worked with children's books in any library or bookstore in Moline, or near Moline.
Some info of my relatives:
Brother to my grandmother, on my fathers side, Carl Ossian Andersson was born april 16 1885 in Bon, Torrskogs Socken in Dalsland, Sweden. He emigrated April 23 1910, from Gothenburg to Rovena SD.
The ship he travelled with was called "Lusitania" and he arrived to New York, May 13 1910
He died in Illinois 1964 ( probably in Moline) and he was married to Albertina Andersson, and they had two daughters, Linnea & Margit.Both lived in Moline with their husbands Glenn and Harry.
Carl Ossian was in the 1st World War and lived when he registered in Moline, Illinois.
Sister to my grandmother, on my fathers side, Augusta Andersson was born October 8 1892, also in Bon, Torrskogs Socken in Dalsland, Sweden. She emigrated 15 October 1921 from Gothenburg to New York.
The ship she travelled with was called "Drottningholm" and she arrived to New York, November 22 1921.
She lived also in Moline and married in the U.S. with a man named Joseph Bodeen, they got what I know at least one child, a daughter named Maxine or Mexine.
