I believe Ön (the island) is the island south of Hedesunda village http://www2.lantmateriet.se/ksos_eng/visaortnamn.jsp?id=3178274
Byn (the village) might be this little village west of Hedesunda village http://www2.lantmateriet.se/ksos_eng/visaortnamn.jsp?id=3145486
Or else it means Hedesunda village itself. Have you seen if there are seperate entries for Byn and Hedesunda in the HFL books?

Olof Jonsson's title is "Stiufson" (modern styvson = stepson), so his mother is probably Ingebor Ersdotter(?), wife of Per Mattsson(?).

Per Mattsson is "Stiuffadren" (the stepfather), and Ingebor Ersdotter his wife, so she should be Olof Jonsson's mother.
