I seek relatives of Eda Maria (Mary) Peterson, who was born 25 March 1871 in Kalmar, Sweden, and came to Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. in 1893 to be a maid. She married John Ostrand 3 November 1893 in Seattle, King County. John died in 1896 of diptheria, leaving Mary with a baby daughter and John's son, Helmer, born to John's first wife. Mary remarried to Berndt Peter Oberg on 10 May 1897 in Snohomish County, Washington.
Mary had younger brothers and sisters Karl, John, Emilia, and a boy born on 21 April 1882. Her sister Gertie was born 30 September 1885. Gertie emigrated to Seattle in 1905 or 1906, and on 28 November 1908, she married August Valentin Oberg, younger brother of Berndt.
The brother born in April 1882 had a daughter, Lisa (Peterson?), who married a Mr. Thenor. They lived in Högfoisbruck, Sweden, and had a son, Bo Thenor, who married Marianne in about 1966.
We would love to correspond with Bo and Marianne's family, or with any other descendants of Per Anderson, the father of Mary and Gertie. Mary's mother was C. Carlson, and Gertie's mother was Christina Nilsson.
