There is a book called "History of Shelby County Texas" published in 1988 that has a write-up on Matthias Sweazea and his family. He had one child, Alex, by his first wife and many by his second wife, Hannah Lucinda McFadden. It is quite an interesting story. He was shot in the back by a neighbor, DeKalb Sapp. I have more information, but still don't have a clear idea of his ancestors.
