There are several wrong postings on the internet concerning the lineage of Mattie Belle Sweaza who married McDonald (Mack) Bean of Macon County, TN. She was born October 28, 1874, married April 16, 1891, and died January 26, 1925. She was the daughter of Matt/R.M./Richard Matthias Sweaza/Swessey and Elender/E.E. Leonard/Lenard. She is being confused with the Matta/Mattie Swezey/Sweaza who married W.T. Hinson in 1894. If you are researching these lines of Sweaza, please correct your records to reflect the correct parentage of Mattie Belle who married Mack Bean.
