William Coats, Kingwood NJ, sons Joseph, William ,Walter daus Sarah,Mary, Hannah

COATS GENFORUM
The 1775 Will,

made in Kingwood, Hunterdon Co., NJ, in 1775,
by a WILLIAM COTES, names his sons: JOSEPH, WALTER and WILLIAM, and daus: SARAH and MARY and HANNAH and son-in-law, JOHN McFERSON.
I'm not sure which daughter, Cotes, was married to John McFerson. But
I suspect these are the same sons, JOSEPH,and WALTER, who go to Sussex Co., NJ, at Knowlton.
A Joseph Coats makes a Will in 1800, Knowlton, with a Joseph Jr., and William Coats noted.
Five years prior, same place, a Walter Coats made a 1795 Will, with Joseph Coats noted.
My 4th gt gpa, PETER ATEN m SARAH COATS, there. They lived next to Joseph Coats on the 1830 and 1840 C. On the 1850 C. JOSEPH COATS B 1777, lives with them. This makes me suspect that Joseph Coats(Jr.)
is a brother of Sarah Coats Aten. She is 7 years younger than he is.
Sarah Coats Aten's grand and great and great great grandchildren carry on the Joseph (and Coats as middle name). IT MAKES ME BELIEVE THEY ARE OF THE possible JOSEPH COATS (WILL 1800, Sussex,NJ, Father WILLIAM COTES of Kingwood Hunterdon Co.NJ, lineage).
Further, PETER ATEN'S and SARAH COAT'S son JOSEPH ATEN, marries in 1835, same place, to AZUBAH COATS.
I am beginning to believe that AZUBAH COATS might be a cousin of her husband, JOSEPH ATEN, and a daughter of Joseph Jr., Walter or William Coats.
The longislandgeneology site shows Walter Coats and Joseph Coats both marrying RACHEL SWAYZE, daughter of Barnabus Swayze.
I do not know the source of/for that belief, but I am becoming more curious of the ATEN/SWAYZE connection, as my ATENS are buried in the SWAYZE FAMILY BURIAL GROUNDS, one mile South of Hope, Warren Co NJ. This is the similar location, as Warren Co. was created off of Sussex Co. NJ, in 1823.
I am led to think the Aten/Swayze connection is of the Coats/Swayze, as the ATEN"S have their own cemetery in Northampton Co PA across the Delaware Water Gap, from this NJ area. PETER ATEN'S father gave this land for burial purpose, and he, DERICK ATEN, is buried there, in 1809.
There must be a very good reason for PETER ATEN and family, to be in the Swayze Cemetery.........It has been a long standing question for me. Could it be their COATS connection to RACHEL SWAYZE?
Happy to get any help or other opinions.
