Hi Karla,

You may be able to find the names of Thomas' parents on his marriage record or his death record. There is a web site on how to order South Dakota vital records at http://www.vitalrec.com/sd.html.

I have information on many of the Swantons who lived in Ireland in the mid-to-late 1800's. Once you find the names of Thomas' parents, you may be able to tie them into the Swanton information I've put together at www.ginnisw.com.
