Family history says my ggrandfather, William O'Shaughnessy was raised from the age of one by his uncle Jim Swanton in Pontiac, Michigan after John's mother, Virginia died. William's parents were John and Virginia O'S- John may have remarried to a lady by the name of Catherine. Perhaps Virginia's maiden name was Swanton. Any bells ringing out there?
William moved to Ontario and married Mary Ann Perrier in 1876 and they had 13 children, the second of whom was my grandpa, Robert John.
