The answer to your comment is "No it is not". Boddie deduced this from the document left by William Swan's grandson, Samuel Swan, which indicated he died in 1638 in Virginia; and his marriage entry from the Stepney Parish Register in 1612, which says he was from Gravesend in Kent.People then go on to assume that because Gravesend is next to Southfleet, where a well-established armigerous family called Swan lived, then he must tie into them.Which he does not.
I personally believe William Swan came from Shipbourne in Kent, and there may be an ultimate link back into the Southfleet Swans - but this will be before 1520. This is based on 4 years research on this Virginia link and 30+ years research into the Swan families in the UK in general.
