there is a way for you to either esatablish or eleminate
several swann families from your line via a dna test.
there are dna records on file at familytreedna.com for:
1. me, a proven progeny of thomas swann of rowan cty NC who died in 1822 2. william swann of swanns point VA.
3. edward swann of eagleton plantation MD. a test would
put you in or out of tnese lines.also if a proven progeny of the isaac swann who married ann robinson and was the son of the thomas swann who made the 1795 rowan county
will did a dna test this might close "our" case for at least a hundred years well into the 1700's. jps
